Summer is almost here.
I don’t know about you but I reached my school year limit a few weeks ago.
It’s been a looooong year of getting three kids to three different schools and about 800 activities and NOT BEING LATE ONCE!
(I am pretty proud of myself. Who is engraving my trophy? Anyone?)
It’s been a great year for all three of my boys. As much as I am looking forward to no homework and no crazy morning routine, I know that it’s always an adjustment from season to season.
Maybe it is for you too.
At this point, I know we’re thinking about a different schedule, kids being around, vacations, visiting friends, doing fun things, etc.
And even as we’re pulling on the swimsuits that make us go “ugh” we’re already mentally coming up with reasons why we can’t possibly start a training program now.
Humor me for a minute and let me explain why waiting until “later” is the perfect summer sabotage.
*Because there’s never a perfect time.
*Because setting healthy habits in motion, and feeling confident about it, means you’ll spend the summer feeling great, while still enjoying yourself….not telling yourself “I am definitely joining a gym in September!”
*Because THE RIGHT program is not restrictive, rigid or intense and is designed to fit.
*Because if your wellness plan does not integrate with your REAL LIFE, meaning your “kids are out of school, we’re packing to go camping, and I’m being pelted with water balloons” life, IT’S NOT GOING TO BE SUSTAINABLE.
If you’re looking for a healthy balance, it can’t just happen when it’s convenient. It’s not as hard as you think. If it’s done right, it will fit in with your life not disrupt it!
